My Journey to the Truest Colours
Hi, I'm Leela Holland. Long before I became a Certified Professional Personal Colour Analyst on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia, I was just like you — standing in front of a mirror, wondering why certain colours made me feel vibrant while others washed me out completely.
Since the 1980s, I've been fascinated by Personal Colour Analysis. I was analysed as an "Autumn" under the old four-season system, and later as a "Spring." I paid good money for fashion-based advice that never even used physical drapes! I ended up with palettes I didn't like and clothes that didn't feel right. Something was missing.
Life went on. I travelled the world, raised a family, and spent almost two decades running a busy clinic as a Naturopath on the Sunshine Coast. My work in natural health deepened my belief that we are intrinsically linked to the earth and nature's cycles.
Eventually, my frustration with standard fashion advice led me to the TCI/SciArt system — a methodology founded by colour pioneer Kathryn Kalisz and refined in Australia by Amelia Butler, Australia's premier colour specialist. I flew to Sydney to be analysed by Amelia. It changed everything. It turns out, my colouring sits in one of the rarest 12 season categories!

The Hardest Part Is Unlearning
I was so hooked I immediately began my Professional Colour Analyst training. But I had no idea how difficult it would be. I was so conditioned by my culture, my travels, and the relentless marketing of the beauty industry that I initially struggled to see colour harmony objectively. It took a long time to retrain my eye to see what is actually there, rather than what fashion dictates should be there.
